Recently retired UFC legend Jorge Masvidal, who knows a thing or two about violence, brought an extremely violent event to South Florida.
Masvidal’s GameBred FC hosted the state’s first sanctioned MMA event at FLA live arena on Cinco De Mayo.
“I started in Miami bare-knuckle, but when it was illegal, and it’s come full 360,” said Masvidal. “We’re doing it pro, we’re doing it legal and no gloves. and these guys are going for the death and nothing else.”
“Gamebred” is coming off a decision loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287, and immediately after the fight Masvidal announced he was retiring from competition.”
Masvidal has spent the last couple of years working to promote his own events under the Gamebred Promotions banner, and following the recent Gamebred Boxing 4 headlined by Roy Jones Jr. and Anthony Pettis and bringing in Roy Nelson for a bareknuckle MMA event at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
Jorge Masvidal recently secured a $100 Million Dollar Investment into his Gamebred FC brand which hosts Bareknuckle MMA events. There’s rumors to who is behind the deal but not official confirmation yet. Be prepared to see a massive push on future events.
